Ulysses Advises Multinational Port Operator on Chornomorsk Container Terminal Concession

Ulysses is advising a multinational port operator on its potential participation in the tender for the Chornomorsk Container Terminal Concession, one of Ukraine’s largest port infrastructure projects to date.

Our Client is a leading global port operator with terminals spanning multiple continents. The Chornomorsk Container Terminal is a key state-owned asset on Ukraine’s Black Sea coast, which the Ukrainian government is tendering for a long-term concession as part of its strategy to attract private investment into port infrastructure and expand the country’s container-handling capacity.

Our advice covers eligibility criteria under Ukrainian concession law, investment protection available under bilateral investment treaties, the prequalification procedure as the first stage of the concession tender, and limited due diligence on the terminal’s real estate.

Ulysses’ team includes Partner Oleh Marchenko, Counsels Ruslan Yurchenko and Valery Fedichin, Senior Associate Bohdan Burlaka, and Associates Oleksandr Poznyakov, Yaroslava Ponomar and Anhelina Kuderska.
